NOTE: if you are opening certain files it will still prompt you to download the file (example: .js, .doc, .pdf, and .wps).

It opens a new window however, it still downloads the file automatically - the only difference being that it now prompts/asks if one wants to keep or discard the file first - which is better than auto downloading it. I am looking for functionality to view the documents in a new window on the forum before downloading them as most often there is no need to download the file when one just wants to view and read them online. File types in question are .doc .pdf and .wps Thanks
